7-Day Kickstart Challenge

Having trouble getting motivated to get in shape for summer? Don’t know where or how to start? I’ve got a way to get you going.

If you are like most people, you are stressing over that winter weight and wondering how to get it off for summer, or just feeling like you need to get into shape before you shed the layers of clothes that have been keeping you warm.  Maybe you’re even looking for a long-term solution that tackles that problem as well as not putting on anymore winter weight and staying in shape going forward.  And then you start to get overwhelmed and never get started. Or you just don’t get to part two of that plan.

Getting started is definitely the hardest part.  For me, I tend to either overshoot sometimes and burn out too fast, or I just can’t find a starting place.  It’s like any project that seems to large to tackle.  Take spring cleaning, for example.  You look at the house and get overwhelmed with where to start.  Or, like me, you pick a place and get rolling. Then you pick something up and decide it needs to go somewhere else in the house.  So, you dutifully make your way to that room to put it away.  While you are there, you get distracted by something there that needs dusting, moving, etc. and you don’t make it back to your starting place for 30 minutes, and hour, or even never. Sound familiar?

Even if you do get started, the steam to keep going can wane if you’re doing it alone.  Or like spring cleaning, life happens and you get distracted.  The biggest component to coaching, of any kind, is accountability; having a person who will help you stay on track and provide the necessary support at various points along the way.  Accountability increases the chances of success.  And who wouldn’t want that???
